What is Critical Race Theory?

Critical Race Theory (CRT) holds three ideas. There is no absolute truth, only compelling narratives, individuals are either an oppressor or victim, and America is systemically racist and must be dismantled. When teachers teach CRT, they claim the goal is teaching diversity of thought, but it is an excuse to teach students to view others through ethnic stereotypes. True equality will be achieved by maximizing the ability of all Americans, not by dividing Americans on the basis of race and teaching that America is an irredeemably racist country.

About the Northwest Ohio Coalition for Public School Excellence

The Northwest Ohio Coalition for Public School Excellence operates under NWOC PAC which is organized for lobbying, electioneering, and any other authorized purpose under Ohio law to assist in the betterment of public-school education across Northwest Ohio.

NWOC PAC is established with a material purpose of seeking to limit or prohibit the teaching or promotion of divisive concepts in public schools that bear resemblance to what is commonly referred to as Critical Race Theory (CRT). NWOC PAC believes that teaching CRT and its myriad of derivatives in public schools constitutes government-sanctioned and/or government-facilitated racism, which is fundamentally unethical to the intentions of the Founding Fathers and the truth that all people are created equal and are endowed by their Creator with unalienable rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
